Modula Gives Back: Project Cyber & Solidarity Update: One Year Later
We are happy to present the final report after one year of effort by Modula Academy. In March 2018 Modula started an important journey and partnered with "Bambini nel deserto", an association that is engaging in guaranteeing a better future for the children and the communities of the underdeveloped nation of Burkina Faso in West Africa.
The project is called "Cyber & Solidaritè" and its main objective was to give at the university students of Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso, the opportunity to have free internet access by using their online time for free online courses.
In Burkina Faso, 85% of students can’t afford an internet connection. The cyber cafes apply very high rates for the use of PCs and the costs offered by local providers is very expensive. In order to help with this issue as well as encourage internal learning here at Modula, we decided to make a donation for each course completed on our internal e-learning platform, called Modula Academy. At Modula, we are creating a culture of giving back and every Modula employee as well as our channel partners, that used the Modula Academy to increase their knowledge of our automated warehouse systems, contributed to the project that resulted in the creation of these cyber classrooms.
